Mike believes in strong families. Mike and his wife Barbara have two young daughters.

Public Service

Prior to his election in 2008 to the Ohio House of Representatives, Mike served as an at-large member and president of Hudson City Council. He also served as a trustee for the Hudson Rotary Club, on the advisory board for Community First, and as a trustee of the Westhaven Homeowners Association.

More Community Involvement

Mike and his family are members of the First Congregational Church of Hudson. In addition to the areas listed above, Mike has given back to the community by volunteering for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Summit MetroParks, Habitat for Humanity, and other community efforts.

Manager Focusing on Cost Control

Mike focused on efficiency and cost control over 13 years as a manager. He worked at Thomson Reuters to help other companies be informed and successful.

Civil Engineering

Mike has a degree in civil engineering, which is helpful in understanding many of the infrastructure issues facing our cities and state. He is a member of the Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering honor society and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering honor society.

Law

Mike has worked as an attorney in a corporate law firm and for a contractor for the Dept. of Justice. He earned his law degree from Georgetown University.
